Can Fastspot help maintain website accessibility?

Yes, Fastspot can support your team in maintaining website accessibility in a few ways. If you’re interested in either of the below activities, we encourage you to reach out to your Project Manager to discuss next steps.

Accessibility Audit of 15 URLs

Accessibility is a moving target. While we ensure that your website is WCAG compliant when handed off to your team during our initial project, we understand that changes may occur over time as your team creates new pages and adds content. To ensure ongoing compliance and usability, Fastspot can perform a comprehensive review of select site pages.

For this audit, we recommend reviewing 15 URLs to get a representative sample of accessibility across the site. Automated testing is paired with human interpretation to check for false positives, examining website code, design elements, navigation systems and keyboard accessibility, and more. The final deliverable is a report identifying all WCAG violations, prioritized with recommendations for remediation. Additional time would be required to implement any updates based on our findings.

Annual Accessibility Maintenance Package

Accessibility isn't a one-time milestone to achieve, it's an ongoing responsibility to ensure websites continue to work for everyone. Fastspot offers an annual accessibility maintenance package that includes quarterly full-site audits with Axe Monitor, an industry-trusted automated scanning tool, to evaluate accessibility across your entire site on an ongoing basis. This approach allows us to identify issues at scale, catching patterns and inconsistencies that can emerge as content grows and changes.

Fastspot will provide you with a clear summary of key issues and recommended fixes after each quarterly audit. For items that are best handled by your team, like content updates, we'll document what needs to be done so your team can move forward confidently. This package also includes a bucket of 20 hours that can go toward accessibility remediations.
